Just so you know, standing on the sidewalk & shouting "woo!" through an open window probably won't get you anything but a raised eyebrow. Still, I leave that window open. Eyebrows need exercise too, you know. And cross-ventilation's pretty nice as well. It gets stuffy in here sometimes. Edit: It looks like the "wink" has replaced the "woo". Same philosophy applies.

For those of you who care: ENFP, more or less. Mostly more. I do differ from it in some important ways, though. For one thing, although I'm not really introverted, I tend to keep to myself a lot, but that's mainly because I value high-quality people and am more than willing to forgo social interaction if I can't have it on that basis. I just don't crave social validation for its own sake.

Well, what else can I tell you that might be worth knowing? Let's see...

I'm a relatively recent arrival to Peoria, Illinois. (As of the day before my birthday in September.) Edit: That's 9/08 by the way. Still relatively recent in the scheme of things.

I intend to begin a Masters program within the next year or two, and wouldn't be a bit disappointed if living abroad was part of the package. Edit: I've been saying that for a few years now. I still mean it.

Living in this land of great material wealth often feels like poverty to me. I think that, in general, unearned affluence and character depth must be inversely proportional. It looks like the US is headed for a colossal reality check, however. I see great opportunities for our society in the emerging crisis.

I'd love to pass my time in this world in a meaningful fashion, like finding ways to help people, but usually that's far easier said than done. Give a man a fish, and he'll be back tomorrow. But teaching a man to fish requires leading him to water. Most people won't submit to that unless you give them a horse to ride first, which they then proceed to beat to death and beyond. Sometimes ya just can't win for losin'.

I tend to reinvent myself periodically, although I'm probably a lot more consistent than I like to believe.

If you evangelize me, in the sense of "bearing witness" to anything beyond your own, personal experience (i.e. by offering judgments about my experiences or beliefs, or where I will spend eternity), I will have a very good idea about who and what you are, perhaps better than you do yourself. I may also "fun" you a little bit, sometimes in ways that you will probably be unable to perceive with your blinders on. And I may enjoy my game a bit, but not as much as I would enjoy it if you'd quit playing yours and we could simply respect each other as adults. However, if you are prone to this kind of behavior, I will know from the outset that you don't understand what that means. Here's a little video that might help.

Well, that probably sounded pretty trite. What can I say? True things remain true, no matter how often they're repeated. More to the point, in the shifting sands of my time here on Earth, there just aren't very many landmarks. Their value is in their familiarity.

I am honest; almost to the point of painful. I have certain views, and opinions about religion.
I am an accomplished wood worker. I am somewhat arrogant, and can be an ass when I feel it is needed.
I am not fond of people that try to out think me or, assume what I am going to say next.
I am a "son of a preacher man", I try to live up to that reputation as much as possible.
Although if you are the one for me I will kill or be killed defending you, I consider my life expendable to save the one I love.
I am not really a verbose person, I try to keep communications short and sweet. That way there is little room for confusion. If I ask a "yes or no" question, that is the type of answer I should receive, unless I ask for a explanation.

Well, I'm 19, turning 20 on July 16. I love to drive, listen to music, play video games, hanging out with friends, and just about anything to be socially active. Quite frankly, that's probably the thing I'm most proud of myself about (that I don't do any of that) because about 95% of my high school did one/all of those things. I have an insatiable love for electronics; yes I'm a geek. My room probably easily uses the most electricity in the house I can say that. I love my laptop, mp3 player, digital camera, Xbox 360, PS3, and cant forget the HDTV. I've already "jizzed in my pants" over the new PSP Go! coming out this fall.

Eating healthy isn't exactly my strong point, but I also don't just eat fast food like everyday. Don't ask me what fruits/vegetables i DON'T like, cuz its more like which ones i DO like lol. I have a relatively high metabolism, so despite the crap I take in, i'm still around 150 lbs.

I am VERY much a night owl and NOT a morning person. Ever since I worked 3rd shift for a movie theater not to long ago, i've been sort of permanently stuck in this late night mode. It's ok, but at times it's hard to convince myself to go to sleep at a decent time, even when I know I need to be up early in the morning lol.

I hope to someday become a professional drifter. I bet you read that and thought "wtf..?". I've loved drifting ever since I was introduced to it in some early racing video games, and the sport is really starting to take off in the U.S. If you have NO idea what I'm talking about, just google "Formula D".

I hold grudges, so for the love of god DON'T do anything to drastically piss me off, cuz I will likely hold it against you and not let go. I really hate it sometimes, but it's just something I can't control.

I work at Kroger's. It may be minimum wage, but I get relatively good hours, paid weekly, it's in the union, and well.. frankly, it's just a tolerable job compared to my others like *cough*McDonalds*cough* lol. I don't want to work there the rest of my life, believe me, but for now it's doing alright.

I just finished my 2nd year at ICC and I'm now taking a break for atleast a semester. I am still unsure what I want to do, and the major I'm currently taking is getting me nowhere.

In terms of a relationship, I'm a very "touchy-feely" kinda guy. Not in some sick, perverted way; just the loving way :). Meaning, I like to cuddle, hold hands, hug, put my arms around, etc. So if you have a problem with being "touched" like that, that's a big turn-off...

Basically here for tests and fun...there are a lot of interesting questions, and interesting people, out there!

I am in the middle of resolving a messy personal sitation right now, so somewhat limited in what I'm likely to be looking for on here...at least, for the moment.

I am a divorced mother of 4 boys. Two of them are out of the house now two are still at home. I like to read, eat, watch movies, whatever. I currently have cat's and a turtle for pets. I work part time. I thought I would get on this site just to see what would happen. To see what kind of people are out there. I'm just looking for some interesting guy to hang out with on occasion.

I am a small town guy that likes to be outside. I love to work out, go out to dinner, go to the movies or just stay at home and chill with some friends.

I'm giving this an honest shot.

I hate to do anything dealing with describing myself but anyways. I am an easy going guy that is just trying to have a good time in life with the least amount of stress as possible. I hate drama and anyone who seems to be surrounded by it in their life. I like watching/playing sports and doing adventurous things like white water rafting and hiking. I am sarcastic but can take it just as well as I can throw it out there. I would rather be outside than inside. I have never lived anywhere for longer than five years in my life so I have moved around quite a bit and met a lot of people and done a lot of things because of this. Hoping Peoria is my last stop honestly but I never know for sure. Sorry I don't have a picture but if you would like one just ask and you shall receive.

I'm a student attending Bradly University, I'm a EE major. There are some weekends where I am not doing anything. You can say I'm looking for a "playmate"

I don't think I could ever fit a description of myself I'd find satisfactory in a little box, much less write a good one at any length. Especially not in the form of a fluid paragraph. So, maybe I'll stick to a "points" style, which also carries the benefit of being easily edited should I change my mind about what I want to include (which is quite likely).

. I'm abnormally outgoing with things like this, so if I find you interesting at all, you'll probably get a message from me. It doesn't necessarily mean I'm trying to start a relationship, I just like saying whats up to people I don't know.
. It takes a while before I can get "into" somebody. We might line up on paper, we might be a statistical "match" but that doesn't mean I'll dig you. I have to talk to someone for a while before I figure it out.

I'm rather content with my current "independent" status and enjoy my freedom. But if I happen to run into the right sort of person...

When not working, I enjoy knitting (a very meditative process), consuming large quantities of coffee, trying to reduce my caffeine intake, learning more about good whisky and mentoring a middle-schooler. I try to go to the movies at least once a week and watch TV on my beloved TiVo whenever I can. I like outdoor events and cheesy roadside attractions. I can geek out at a moment's notice. I'm always willing to learn new things and to learn about new people. I try to be a nice and humble person to everyone I meet. I fail often, though.

I'm still relatively new to Peoria , so I'm looking for people that can help me learn about the place.

I enjoy the arts. I try to get to the community theater and the local symphony orchestra whenever I can.

I enjoy many sports. I bowl regularly with friends. I try to catch a football game when I can. (Go Bears).

Back in high school I was in band and played the saxophone. I can still belt out a tune but I'm afraid I've not kept up the skills over the years.

I enjoy biking and try to get out when I can.

I am an animal lover having 2 cats.

I moved to peoria last year from NY and so far it has been okay!! lol
I enjoy going out, travelling, listening almost all kind of music..but prefer hip-hop, rap and R&B
